Balance workloads across your team

Spot the problems

  • Check Remaining Capacity in the summary. Days below zero mean the team is booked for more than it can do.
  • Compare each person’s allocation with their capacity. Someone with more hours allocated than available is overbooked, and someone with few hours allocated has time for more.

Rebalance the work

  1. Click the arrow next to a busy person to see which tasks are booked.
  2. Open those tasks and move them to someone with spare capacity, or change their dates. See Work with one-off and recurring tasks.
  3. Come back to Resourcing to check the numbers have evened out.

The animation below walks through these steps.

Tip: keep estimates up to date

Allocation comes from the time planned on each person’s tasks. Accurate estimates and up-to-date assignees make Resourcing much more reliable. Switch to Month or Quarter view to plan further ahead.
